THE TRAVELS OF BABAR by the French writer Jean de Brunhoff New York 1934 - first English edition under the publishing name Random House.

The adventures of Babar, a young elephant who leaves the jungle and moves to the city in order to learn about the ways of life of human civilization. The most popular children's books of the 20th century, which appeared in a large format and presented for the first time large illustrations in colorful watercolors alongside cursive and "flowing" English writing.
