Five photographs showing students of the Hebron Yeshiva who survived the riots of 1929, ascending to their brother's grave - students of the yeshiva who were murdered in the riots and buried in a mass grave in the ancient cemetery in Hebron. (August 24, 1929).

In the massacre in Hebron, 67 Jews were murdered. About a third of the dead (24 in number) were students of the Hebron Yeshiva. The British ordered the Jews to hold an expedited funeral for the kdoshim, on the same night, when only Ten Jews were allowed to join and say "Kaddish." The victims were buried in a mass grave, in four long rows in the ancient cemetery in Hebron. After three days, the British decided to eliminate the Jewish settlement in Hebron. The Jews were loaded onto trucks that took them to Jerusalem. All the property and houses of the Jews were looted by the rioters. Following the riots, the Hebron Yeshiva moved to Jerusalem.

Same size: 16x12 cm. Very good condition. Filing hole on the top left of the photos.
