Magnificent edition accompanied by 28 engraving plates (most of them on double plates; some folded): engraving-title page; Maps of the Middle East, Palestine and Jerusalem; Engravings showing various places in the Land of Israel and its surroundings that are historical most important in the world of engravings in general, as well as engravings showing various objects and customs - the Ark, the Temple, a Jewish burial ceremony, and more. Original parchment cover, with a raised symbol on both sides of the cover.

Important geographical research about sites mentioned in the Bible with sections dealing with cities, villages, rivers and other places mentioned in the Bible and the writings of Josephus Flavius; According to ancient and modern sources, including St. Hieronymus, Osbius of Caesarea, Jacques Bonfrère and others.
