A collection of Manuscript essays from the Montefiore Library Record No. 451, including an essay on the laws of Nida by Rabbi Hillel HaCohen Di la-Tori of Torino and Padua - that was not printed. Italy, 19th century.

A. 1A - 10B : The Ramban debate with the priest Pirey fulo before King Dragon. Does not appear in the Ozar Hachochma.

B. 11 - 21 : Eldad Hadanni. According to manuscripts in the author's possession that are different from the Kushtandina and Verona editions, as the writer states in the introduction: "Thanks G-d with all my heart that is Gave me a loan Old Eldad HaDani from an old print without a year and a place, and as if I found it in the exchange of the Eldad versions In Constantinople and in Verona ... I said copy them with the help of G-d be blessed ... ".

C. 22a - 30a : Repugnance - A book of yore hataeim, which includes reproaches removed by song and recommendation. By Rabbi Yitzchak Ben Moshe Ellis. (First printed in Venice,1589).

F.35A - 44B : Laws of Neda. Includes nine signs: Halachot, Laws, and Customs.. By Rabbi Hillel HaCohen di lo turi. At the end of the essay, Kolfon, "and all my work was done on shvat 24, 1832..." An unprint essay.

According to the catalog of the National Library (number 000186973), the manuscript owner is Rabbi Mordechai Samuel Girundi, Padua's Rabbi from 1831. It is possible that the manuscript before us is his own handwriting, as there is a remarkable identity between his known manuscript and the manuscript before us.

Rabbi Mordechai Shmuel Girundi [1799-1852] In his youth he studied at the Padua seminary with Rabbi Yitzchak Raphael Pinci, Rabbi Shabtay Aharon Chaim Marini rabbi, and with his great-Rabbi Israel Konyan. In 1829, he began to serve as chief of the Beyt hadin and second in the city of Padua. and in 1831, after the passing of the Rabbi of the city, the sage Elishama Meir Padovani, was appointed as the Rabbi of Padua. Authored many books.

Rabbi Hillel Di la-Tori [1804-1871] when he was a young man sat on the Turin rabbinate. With the foundation of the Beit Midrash for Rabbis in Padua in the year 1830, he served as a Talmudic and Poskim scholar alongside Rabbi Shmuel David Luzzatto. Author: Tal Yaldut, (Padova, 1868) and the book "kevod habayit". Translated the Psalms and the sidur and also published a book of sermon in Italian. He also served as rabbi at firara.

The manuscript contains Montefiore library stickers. The Montefiore Book Collection House has been operating in Jerusalem for only about two years. The library was established in 1875 by members of the Jerusalem Tribute Company, and was closed following the fierce opposition of the old yishuv. This library was officially a "Friends Library" but actually served as a public library, and became known worldwide mainly because of its rare manuscripts and books. Montefiore himself financially supported the library.
