Quality enamel work according to Maurycy Gottlieb. Early 20th century.

The work, "Jews Pray in the Synagogue on Yom Kippur" by Maurycy (Moshe) Gottlieb (1856-1879) is considered the most important Creation in the Jewish world. The work depicts a group of Jewish worshipers, men and women, in the synagogue. The young worshiper to the right of the stage is Maurycy himself, near the center of the painting. During his short life (died at the age of only 23) Gottlieb created about 400 works, when the most important and famous of them is the work before us.

Round frame [tooth coated wood?] With gilded decorations. Maximum diameter: 22 cm. Metal hook for hanging. Good condition.
