A beautiful leaf - writing of a writer and signatures of the community Rabbis of Hebron: "And these are the names of the sages and disciples to study the Torah of G-d ... under my supervision, I am the undersigned the Yeshiva of Ma'aseh Nissim" - Names of nine disciples who are entitled to earn a living from the public moneybox in Hebron, signed by the geniuses Rabbi Meir Shmuel Kashtil, and Rabbi Suleiman Menachem Mani. Hebron, 27 Cheshvan 1910.

The Gaon Rabbi Suleiman Menachem Mani [1850-1924] Chacham Bashi and rabbi of Hebron. In 1856, his parents immigrated to Eretz Israel with him, and settled in Jerusalem. Two years later, he moved with his family to Hebron. Upon the death of his father in 1899, he was appointed to serve as the Av Beit Din in Hebron, and was the right hand of Rabbi Chaim Hezekiah Medini. Upon the death of Rabbi Medini in 1904, he was appointed to Chacham bashi and Rabbi of Hebron. During his tenure as rabbi of Hebron, he became famous as a peacemaker, and Jews and Arabs alike would turn to him for compromise in various conflicts.

Rabbi Meir Shmuel Kashtil [Castel 1860-1929] - Head of the Sephardic community in Hebron, and president of the General Committee of the Sephardic and Ashkenazi communities in the city, member of the court of the "Sdei Hemed". Descendants of Rabbi Yehuda Halevi , From a family of deportees from Castile who settled in Gaza after the deportation, and from there partly moved to Hebron in 1799. In his youth he studied in the Talmud Torah and yeshiva of Hebron. Due to his love to Hebron, he did not want to leave it at all, and in 1910 he began to serve as a member of the tribunal there. During this period he was elected head of the Sephardic community committee in Hebron, and in 1921 began serving as president and head of the general committee of the Sephardic community and the Ashkenazi community in the city, and in fact, served as head of the entire community for all intents and purposes. On Shabbat 18 Av 1929, Arab rioters entered his house, while Rabbi Kashtil and his wife fled to the last room in their house and closed its door with all their might. The rioters broke down the door and murdered Rabbi Kashtil while being tortured. After the heinous murder, the rioters burned his house, and he was buried in a mass grave in Hebron הי"ד. Some of his innovations were printed in the book "Sha'arey Rachamim" Part II.
