HITLER'S MEIN KAMPF - UNCENSORED - First uncensored English publication of Adolf Hitler's book "Mein Kampf" - "My Struggle". Translation, introduction and notes by James Murphy. London, 1942. Hardcover with original dust jacket. All complete.

"Whatever the reader's political views may be, this is the unexpurgated and uncensored edition of perhaps the most important autobiography published since the beginning of the war, a book which every intelligent man or woman in this country ought to read. Controversy has raged and still rages around "Mein Kampf", but it is generally admitted that only by a close study of the Nazi creed and future plan as set forth in this book can a clear understanding be gained of what happened in Germany during the last decade, and what may happen in the future. The first complete English translation of Mein Kampf was written by a British author specializing in translation from German. Not a single line of the original edition of Mein Kampf has been altered in any way." (From the publishers introduction.)

In his introduction, the translator draws the reader's attention to the historical circumstances that led Hitler to write certain things in the book, and the emotional pressure under which Hitler was when writing the words while facing enemies at home and abroad during a difficult period of his life. He also provides examples of German words that have no precise translation into English and explains how he translated them. The proceeds from sales of this edition were donated to the Red Cross.

Mein Kampf - "My Struggle". The first book of the leader of the Nazi Party in Germany Adolf Hitler which he wrote during his imprisonment at Landsberg Prison in 1924 in which he details his political, racist, and antisemitic views, and his plans for the future of Germany and the destruction of the Jews (already in Mein Kampf Hitler wrote about his satanic plot against the Jewish people - "The Jews, the corrupters of nations, must be brought under poison gas". A satanic wish that he actually carried out during the horrific Holocaust years). Year after year until 1930 only a few thousand copies were sold each year. The success of the Nazis in the elections held on October 13, 1930 brought it some popularity, and by 1932 already 80 thousand copies of the book were sold. After Hitler's rise to power, millions of copies of the book were sold. In 1933 alone one and a half million copies were sold, and from 1936 a popular edition was presented as a gift to every couple married in Nazi Germany. By the end of the war about ten million copies were sold in Germany, and several more million copies worldwide. Due to the high sales of the book, Hitler renounced his Chancellor's salary and settled for the royalties he earned from the book.
