The photo shows the children of Budapest's ultra-Orthodox Jewish school and the educating rabbis. Seated in the front row are holding a sign detailing the age of the classroom, place, and year.
In the major Orthodox communities in Hungary, such as Budapest, Debrecen, Miskolc, there were Jewish official elementary schools. The children learned, in some localities in "rooms" and Budapest there was also a "Birger-Shuhle" and a kind of small yeshiva called "Torat Emet", both of which are 8 sects.
