Telford Taylor [1908-1998] best known for his role as chief counsel in the prosecution of war criminals after world war ii at the nuremberg trials, Taylor served as chief prosecuting counsel at 12 nuremberg trials, as part of the team of robert h. Jackson, who helped formulate the London Convention of the International Military Tribunal, which formed the legal basis for the Nuremberg Trials. Taylor worked hard to consider the General Staff of the Army and the High Command of the German Armed Forces as criminal organizations. He saw the Nuremberg trials as a success because they created a precedent and defined a legal basis for crimes against peace and humanity.
