The Sinking of The Titanic and Great Sea Disasters - a graphic and thrilling description of the sinking of the greatest palace afloat ever built, carrying to watery graves more than 1,500 souls. Exciting escapes from death and acts of heroism not equalled in ancient or modern times, told by the survivors including history of icebergs, and terror of the seas by MARSHALL Logan - the first printed publication as a book extensively reviewing the event of the sinking of the Titanic ship, including a chapter on wireless telegraphy and the building of modern ships edited by THOMAS H. RUSSELL. The book is illustrated throughout with rare photographs from the event of the disaster, as well as drawings specially made for the book. New York 1912 - first edition.

Marshall Logan's book is the first literary printed publication documenting in detail and accuracy the greatest sea disaster in human history - the sinking of the Titanic. This book, published in 1912, a few months after the drowning of 1517 of its passengers - many of them among the richest and most respected in the world on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, when the survivors' testimonies were first received (there were 712 survivors from this sinking disaster), documents the disaster minute by minute as described by the survivors who were themselves on the ship (among other things, there is a documentation about the passenger who swam to save a drowning baby, returned to the ship and drowned himself, as well as the story of the heroism about Captain Major who saved many in the lifeboats, and more), and were transferred to the rescue ship Carpathia. The book is full of moving descriptions of courage and sacrifice told here firsthand, as described by the editor: "The whole sad story is here". Also brought in full are the results of the US Senate investigation committee regarding the cause of the disaster, and more. The book is accompanied by rare photographs from the sinking and rescue event, photographs of the survivors mourning their loved ones, diagrams and photographs of the ship's structure and more. The photographs were published by the renowned American photography company Underwood & Underwood. (including a photograph of Captain Smith's at the beginning of the book).
The second part of the book presents an in-depth study of maritime disasters in general, documenting the development of maritime safety and discussing how to prevent such disasters. The book also highlights advances in shipbuilding technology.

At the beginning of the book is a memorial to the victims.
