Spirit of the Nation or the War of the Jew and the Sanballat, will describe the pressure and poverty, labor and suffering endured by the heroes of Israel, Hovevei Zion, aspiring for the dust of the land of their fathers, from their brother enemies of Zion and its deserters, its destroyers, rising towards evil and corruption of the land of the Lord - by Menachem ben Chayim Klas from the city of Dobrowitza. Kishinev, 1890 - First Edition.

An unknown work calling to awaken and redeem the land of Eretz Israel, not to listen to the voices saying it is not time. The author likens the Jewish people in exile to a sick man who almost lost his soul, and suddenly woke seeing the holy nation as sheep among seventy wolves - only by returning to its land, flourishing and building its national home there will it heal from its illness and escape its pursuers.

Rare. As far as we know never appeared in auctions.

112 p. Stains. Moth marks on some pages. Good condition.
