The Temple Mount and the wall of Jerusalem, view from west to east - a huge black and white panoramic photograph - 62x51 cm. Dedicated as a gift to "Arie" from the Intelligence Division, by the head of the Intelligence Division Shlomo Gazit: the photograph is glued to a thick wooden board, in the lower right part a metal plate is affixed on which is engraved: "To Aryeh upon your retirement from the post, congratulations S. Gazit Head of Intelligence Division August 16, 1976".

The recipient of the photograph is Aryeh Shalev [1926-2011] an Israeli army man, with the rank of lieutenant colonel, who served as the spokesman of the IDF, as the assistant head of the IDF for research in the period before the outbreak of the Yom Kippur War, and as the military governor of Judea and Samaria. After the Six-Day War, Shalev was appointed Assistant Chief of the Directorate for Research, the second most important position in the division. In this position, he was responsible for the centralization of the subject of research and the assessment of national intelligence. In 1976, he was discharged from the IDF with the rank of lieutenant colonel.

Major General Shlomo Gazit [1926-2020] Major General in the IDF, served, among other things, as head of the National Security Agency (1974-1979), served as the third president of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (1982-1985) and director general of the Jewish Agency. In his role as head of the Intelligence Division He restored the IDF's intelligence system after the severe crisis of the Yom Kippur war failure, was responsible for intelligence in the Entebbe operation, and was a participant in the peace talks with Egypt, following the visit of Egyptian President Sadat to Israel.
