The genius Rabbi Avraham Yaffe (1886-1970) began his studies at the Slutsk and Cobrin Yeshivot, as well as with Rabbi Zalman Sander Kahana Shapira. In the year 1907, at the age of 20, he moved to Novardock, where he approached the "Grandfather of Novardock", and even married his daughter. In 1914 he was sent by his father-in-law to Baranovich to establish a yeshiva there using the method of Novharduk. In 1919, his father-in-law passed away and he was appointed as the Roash Hayeshiva and as a follower of the leadership of the Novhardock moral method. In consultation with the Hafetz Chaim, the yeshiva was transferred to Bialystok, Poland. Since then, he has headed the yeshiva in all its wanderings in Shanghai, New York, and Israel.
