The author is one of the disciples of Rabbi Aharon Rata, author of Shomer Emunim, one of the Righteous of Jerusalem. The father of Rabbi Chaim David Rubinstein and the Breslav Chassid Rabbi Mordechai Elazar Rubinstein ztl.
