A rare photograph of Chaim Nachman Bialik and his wife Mania feeding pigeons in Venice. To the left of Bialik, a member of the Second Aliyah and a pioneer of agricultural research in Eretz Israel - Yitzhak Vulkani Eliezeri, and to his right, Berl Locker (and his wife?), Chairman of the Jewish Agency, and later a MK on behalf of Mapai. Photographed about a year before Bialik died at the age of 60, one of Bialik's last known photographs. Venice, 1933.
