Described on the Edge: 'Noce Juive province d'Oran' ['Jewish Wedding in Oren Province'].

The photochrome prints, which were popular at the end of the 19th century, are actually a process in which photography is transferred to the lithographic printing board. The process was invented in the 1880s by the Swiss Hans Jakob Schmid, who was ahead the colorful photo system that was developed in those years but was still not practical commercially to widely distributed.
