LA REVUE DU CENTRE DE DOCUMENTATION JUIVE CONTEMPORAINE LE MONDE JUIF - The journal of the "Center for Contemporary Jewish Documentation" - One of the first institutions established that dealt with the documentation of the Holocaust and in pursuing the Nazi war criminals and bringing them to justice. A special issue - May - June 1961 - which reviews the Eichmann trial in the midst of the trial before the verdict, and the contribution of the important organization to the capture of Eichmann and his prosecution in Israel.

The entire issue deals with the Eichmann trial and in particular with the and in part of the C.D.J.C. - "The center for contemporary Jewish documentation" for capturing Eichmann and bringing him to justice. This organization was founded by Isaac Schneerson in Grenoble, France, in 1943 during World War II to preserve the evidence of Nazi war crimes for posterity. Over the years, he was involved in research, documentation, and the pursuit of Nazi war criminals, as well as helping to return the property of the jews stolen by the Nazis. He also has an important archive of documents regarding the Holocaust in general, especially regarding events concerning French Jewry. At the Nuremberg trials, the documentation center appeared publicly for the first time on the world stage.
Adolf Eichmann's trial for crimes against humanity began in Jerusalem on April 11, 1961. CDJC's scientific director, Georges Wallers, was a witness at the trial. During the discussions, the institute he established received thousands of requests from all over the world - reporters, filmmakers, writers, radio reporters, researchers, and more, requesting to provide them documents and photographs he had collected over the years related to Eichmann. Through the center that he established, very important information about the Holocaust was distributed to the public, and many throughout the world were exposed to the horrors of the Holocaust thanks to his activity. The film released in those days about Eichmann's capture was largely based on documents from the Wallers Institute.

The booklet reviews the extensive contribution of the Eichmann Law Institute in documents, testimonies, microfiles that it had in its possession since the time of the war, and more. In the booklet, Eichmann's crimes are described in detail based on classified material from the institute's archives, which strengthened the public atmosphere all over the world against Eichmann, and directly helped bring him to justice. It came out in the middle of the trial before the verdict, and the effort to bring many facts as possible that will lead to his conviction is clearly visible. One of the articles reads: "The trial against Adolf Eichmann in Jerusalem is a continuation of the trials opened in Nuremberg against the criminals responsible for genocide...".

Before 1982, only one conference about the Holocaust was held in France, and it was organized in 1947 by the CDJC. Throughout his life, Schneerson worked to make Paris the main world center for the memory of the Holocaust, and the many materials he collected found their historical contribution in the Eichmann trial, and in the years that followed.

At the end of the booklet is a list of dozens of publications about Eichmann before he was sentenced to death.

118 [10] p. 24 cm. A missing tear on the upper right cover page. Other than that, good condition.
