On the title page is an engraving of the scene of Elijah and the false prophets, on the corresponding page is a portrait of Josephus and under it priests in their special attire to hint at the origin of Josephus himself - who was a member of a well-born family of priests - the first of 24 priesthood (according to the 'Life of Joseph').
