Real photo postcard showing Boris Schatz and his son Bezalel Schatz (Lilik) sitting on the side of a figurine fence in Greece. On the back of the postcard, Lilik wrote to his mother Olga (Boris Schatz's wife) who was staying in Eretz Israel at the time: "Dear mother, we are now in Athens, we have just returned from an extraordinary trip on the Acropolis ...". And lists the countries they are going to visit and adds: "What do you say about our photograph in the amphitheater of Bakrus? Yours with lots and lots of warm kisses, Lezinika Lilik". The postcard was sent to Eretz Israel to his mother, who was living on Hayarkon Street in Tel Aviv at the time. Athens, 1930.
Photographed as part of Boris Schatz's trip with his son Bezalel to Europe and the United States in 1930, where they exhibited their works of art and Bezalel students for the purpose of raising funds for the school that was about to close.
Filing holes on the right side, remnants of ink stamps on the front of the postcard, tear marks from an album on the back of the postcard. Good condition.
