In the spring of 1932, three important public events were held in Tel Aviv for the first time: the First Levant Fair, the Maccabiah, and the Adloyada. Huge posters hung on the city walls read: "According to the information we have received so far, many tourists are about to visit the country during this period who will come to see these factories ... The fact that all these factories are concentrated in Tel Aviv, obliges our city to prepare to welcome guests ..." .
