A designed album dedicated to the members of the Auxiliary troop - 54th Battalion of the Givati Brigade (this album was dedicated to the soldier Israel Kinberg) for their dedicated service in the battles of the War of Independence. February 1948 - February 1949.

An album with 31 photographs pasted on its pages, documenting the soldiers of the 54th Battalion of the Givati ​​Brigade and their operational activities during the War of Independence. The album was specially designed after the war for them and silver-plated titles printed on the body of the album pages accompany all the photographs. At the beginning of the album, the slogan: "Blessed is the flame that burned in the secret of hearts, blessed are the hearts that knew how to cease with respect, to the people who assist the 54th Battalion of the Givati ​​Brigade." The album opens with photos of the 13 soldiers of the brigade who fell in the battles of the War of Independence - their names and dates of their fall. Below are photographs documenting the battalion's part in the goat battles: in training, in the arduous journey, in the Jerusalem siege, in the purge of the south, which we robbed we were not shot down, Anfer, and more.

(In one of the photographs is a photo of the soldier Raziel Rosenthal who fell in the battles in the south, in Tammuz 1948. During the War of Independence, Raziel fought in the Negev, Abdis, Ashdod, Julis and Beit Afa. The military correspondent Y. Bar-Yosef wrote about him:"They were from the auxiliary troop of one of the battalions of the Givati ​​Brigade and members of the raid of that battalion. These men fought the heroic battles of Ibadis, Negba and Beit Afa and the surrounding area. They tell their friend Raziel Rosenthal that he amazed everyone with his courage and self-control he discovered until the last minute. He did not leave his place despite the terrible fire that was kindled at him from all sides. He managed to silence some Egyptian tanks before falling into his position ... Raziel died a heroic death in the battle of Abidis on Tuesday, July 10, 1948. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Beer Tuvia).

On the cover of the album is the 'Palmas' emblem of the 54th Battalion. Album: 28x20 cm. Photographs - average size: 9x7 cm. An album tied with a string. The album and photos are in good - very good condition.
