The album reviews the rise of the Nazi Party (NSDAP - Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei) from its inception in 1920 when it numbered only 3,000 members, and during the 1920s - the years in which Hitler established his status as a talented orator to a growing audience, to the seizure of power By the Nazi Party in 1933. The album contains dramatic descriptions written by the Nazi Party's propaganda system, which used various elements that attracted public attention, and focuses on both the rise of the Führer and the German public's sympathetic response to the Nazi party and everything it represents - flags, street parades Masses, symbols, orchestras, folk singing, Hitler youth, and other means for the Fellowship members. The album greatly influenced the German youth who were exposed to it in the teens of their lives, and then served the idea themselves while they were SS soldiers during World War II.
The album and its photographs were edited by Heinrich Hoffman - the official photographer of the Nazi party and the personal photographer of Adolf Hitler, and the cards to complete it were distributed in packs of cigarettes in sequels. From the historical documents that reflect well the rise of power of the Nazi Party in the years when Europe still did not know its power and the magnitude of its destructiveness.
The album also appears in the permanent exhibition the "Photography during the Holocaust" exhibition at the Yad Vashem Museum in Jerusalem.
