Letter in the handwriting and signature of Rabbi Shlomo Wolba, Sivan 1990 regarding the paucity of Torah places in France.
In a letter addressed to Rabbi Yehezkel Landau, Rabbi Wolba cries out about the dismal state of Torah institutions in France:
"More than half a million Jews in France go to the entire drain and so few Torah places are there, and all these institutions operate to a very limited degree, and if there is already a great stage who wants to donate his own in spreading Torah A small place cannot be found! ' The genius advises Rabbi Landau that the only option he faces is to be appointed to Dayan, and tells him that he should go to Manchester for a period to do a shimush, stating a number of rabbis' names to help him with it, and warn that he will not deal with gerim anyway and that he can contact the students in the university meantime and give them lessons for a living, and more.
The Genius Rabbi Shlomo Wolba (1914-2005) The great disciple of Rabbi Yerucham from mir, one of the great mashgichim of the last generation and author of books in the spiritual work according to the Moral Movement. He served as mashgiach of the Beer Yaakov yeshiva and the Givat Shaul yeshiva he established.
