Non-traditional Haggadah, published by TORAH VA'AVODAH LIBRARY – Bnei Akiva, issued by Bachad fellowship woburn house – mentions of the Holocaust events, the struggle for independence in Eretz Israel, customs of the communities of the East and North Africa, and more. London, 1943. English. Rare.

In the first pages is a mention of the events of the Holocaust which were at their height that year: “And you, Israel... even though the beasts of prey howl and cry out and hold a witches' dance around the vineyard of Israel, attacking it with great fury and saying "Let us go and destroy them completely! You shall not fear... and even if I have given all your possessions into their hands, I guard your soul...". Elsewhere in the Haggadah the Passover in the Warsaw Ghetto is described – the story of a Jew whose friends and family managed to immigrate to Eretz Israel and he remained alone in the dark Warsaw Ghetto in a bleak atmosphere, without matzot and without wine, unable to celebrate the Passover Seder – how he remembers Pharaoh and the oppressors of the Jewish people in all generations, and contemplates whether it will be possible to escape from the Nazi oppressor.
Also appearing are passages about the struggle against the Arabs in Eretz Israel, documentation of the Seventh Day of Passover at the Western Wall, and the tense situation in Jerusalem on the way to the Wall: “I jump and skip between the crowd on the steps in the alleys leading to the Wall, and with every step I meet officials, English and Arab policemen standing at their posts, giving orders to the Jews passing by like sheep... I see a group of policemen looking at me with hate-filled, scornful glances... they remind me of the Polish gendarmes...”, the Passover Seder of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, the Passover Seder in African communities, and the customs of the Tripoli and surrounding area communities, explanations of the Passover Seder customs – the Afikoman, opening the door for Eliyahu HaNavi, explanations of the songs in the Haggadah, and more.
