Petra ['The Red Rock'] - Two postcards, undivided back, published by Habra Freres, Damascus, around 1900. Rare.

The place became popular with the European public for the first time through the lithographs created by David Roberts when he visited the place in the 19th century. Early postcards from the main period of distribution with the appearance of the city of Petra are almost nonexistent. Postcards began to print scenes from the place in the 50s of the 20th century, especially when it became famous and attracted many tourists who visited the place, and began to raise world interest.
[2] Postcards. With handwriting by a tourist on October 19, 1920, describing the wonders of the place and its location. Very fine condition.
