Pierre-Michel Alix [1762-1817], a well-known French engraver, one of the leading engravers in his time. Was published mainly in etchings he created for importent figures who participated in the National Constituent Assembly of the French Revolution such as Mirabeau, Father Gregoire, and others. He is also known for his engravings of classic historical figures in French history, such as Benjamin Franklin, General Houcha, General Bonaparte, his famous work as the 'Consuls Portrait', and others. His works glorify the French Louvre Museum, and the National Library of France. It is rare to find etchings he created on Jewish subjects.
