The story of a Jew who walked between the two worlds, the religious world and the free world. It was written following the change of Nordau himself in his life. The play was originally written in German, and became popular among European Jews when the Warsaw 1910 Yiddish edition was published. Before us the first Yiddish translation, published in New York about ten years earlier.
