A terrible and terrible thing happened yesterday in the heart of Jerusalem. Thousands of ultra-Orthodox Jews went out to the city street shouting "Shabbat" ... the Zionist policemen attacked the ultra-Orthodox ... and beat with terrible brutality in the style of the Gestapo ... and their opinion was not that they attacked Rabbi Pinhas Segalov, and beat him to death. The Holy One, the Sacrifice of the Sabbath.. .' The proclamation goes on to warn: 'It will not last long, and Jerusalem will become Moscow, and all those who put on tefillin and the Sabbath-keepers will be executed.

On the margins of the leaflet, a call to the Jews of the Diaspora to rise up against the Zionist plot and to denounce the regime of the state, which declared a war of extermination against religion: "We can not keep religion in the Zionist state".

In the summer of 1956, Pinhas Segalov, a Gur Hasid, died of his wounds after being brutally beaten by police officers, and is considered by many to be the symbol of the struggle for Sabbath observance.
