The Fighting Woman, a wall newspaper dedicated to the service of the Women's Auxiliary Air Force "WAAF" - the anniversary of the service of the Women's Auxiliary Corps in the Air Force in the Middle East. A poster calling for Hebrew women to join the Air Force to bring the annihilation of the Nazi enemy. Jerusalem, May 1944. (Typographical error on the upper right side "May 1934", should be 1944 as in the body of the announcement after the words of the Jewish Agency). Rare.
At the top of the poster are the words of the Jewish Agency's management:
"Today, on the one year anniversary of the recruitment of women into the Air Force in the Middle East, the Jewish Agency for Israel sends its blessings to the girls of Eretz Israel who carry out this service in aviation with all their soul and with all their heart for honor and glory. 500 girls of Israel - this is currently the number of our girls who volunteered this year with the establishment of the new auxiliary corps, to enter into it and fulfill their duty towards their people and the allied nations in the holy war against the enemy humanity. Bat Yisrael, a partner in the building of the homeland in times of peace, also a partner in the military services during the war years; and she proved her ability to operate and her dedication in a new military branch, the aviation branch which constitutes the the backbone in the struggle of the giants and who delivers the heaviest blows on the head of our soul enemies. The fight is not over yet, we still have days of multiple trials and efforts, of sacrifice and standing at the gate.
But at this stage of the assault, the order of the hour is precisely to accumulate the remaining forces, to tighten the ranks, increase them - for the landing of the final defeat in bombed-out Berlin. Continue on your blessed path and we will all be privileged to see already this year the victory and redemption, in the liberation of all nations during the time of our people, the rebirth of the people of Israel in Erezt Israel. 30.4.44 Administration of the Jewish Agency for Eretz Israel".

In the lower part of the poster: "On the role of the woman" by Dr. H. Herman - exciting words about the important roles that women play in times of war. "Revenge and peace!" by Haim Salomon - the story of his daughter who enlisted in WAAF: "She added one drop in the ocean of the conscripts on the whole earth fighting to save humanity from the hands of the Nazis, the evil and malicious government", and "from a letter from a soldier":
"I would be sinning against my people and my relatives who are groaning in the ghettos (if they are still alive) if I sit quietly and do not do what I can in order to bring their liberation closer - our liberation..." and calls on her friends to join her.
