Issue of the French weekly magazine A LA PAGE l'hebdomadaire des jeunes - "On the Page" - "The Youth Weekly" dated February 9, 1933 - announcing Hitler's rise to power a week after being appointed Chancellor of Germany and the establishment of a dictatorship in Germany.

The main article in the issue deals with the announcement event of Hitler's appointment as Chancellor of Germany and the reactions across Germany. "Hitler's rise to power spread like wildfire across the streets of Berlin. The moment the news came on the radio all the windows hoisted the national socialist flag adorned with the swastika cross, the brown shirts took to the streets... the Nazi headquarters were surrounded by an immense crowd that did not stop singing the Deutschland song only to praise Hitler...". The article deals with Hitler's biography and how he paved the violent path of rise to power, the dismantling of the Reichstag and the placement of Hitler's men, the internal structure of the Nazi leadership - the nature of the people at the head of the leadership alongside Hitler, what a dictatorial Germany will look like, and more. Centered is a picture of Hitler raising his hand against a backdrop of the German eagle, to the right and left are photographs of the Nazi leadership - Göring, Goebbels, Alfred Rosenberg, Gregor Strasser and others against a swastika backdrop. Below is a photograph of the Berlin crowd gathering in the streets in victory celebrations with Nazi flags.

The French weekly magazine A LA PAGE was published in France between 1924 and 1940, aimed to children and youth and focused on entertainment and education, combining short stories, comics, science, geography, literature, sports, arts and current events. One of the early magazines to incorporate color into its pages in order to entertain young readers while updating them about the world around them.
