The Tragedy of Slovak Jewry. Pictures and documents, published by the Documentation Institute of the Union of Bratislavian Communities. Bratislava, 1949.

A rare book that documents the anti-Semitism in Chechoslovakia from the start of the 19th century. Accompanied by numerous photographs of antisemitic documents and posters, photos of atrocities done to the Jews (difficult to view), forced labor, SS units in action, destruction of the synagogues, local Jews with the yellow star, death trains, Slovak Jews in the camps, the selections, death pits, dead bodies hanging, photos of the liberating armies, and the survivors.

In the lengthy preface written in Hebrew and English, the publisher thanks the Freed Czechoslovakian government, the Ministry of Justice, and the Jewish Museum in Prague for allowing them access to important documents and original photos which allowed them to publish the matter.

142 [5] pages. Missing back cover. Tears at the edges of the front cover and in the spine. Detached pages. remnants of the print cutting on the edge. The pages of the book are in good condition.
