A rare photographs Album documenting the Jewish life in Eastern Europe before World War II, most of them taken by Roman Vishniac, M. Kipnis and Alter Kacyzne. Original red cover with image - woodcut by the artist Shlomo Yudovin.

An album with 530 rare photographs [large over entire page] of Jewish life in Eastern Europe before the outbreak of the holocaust: photographs of Jewish figures, rabbis and rebbes, synagogues, streets, Jewish merchants, Talmudey Torah, and fascinating scenes from everyday life.
The book is divided into two parts - in the first part photographs of streets, synagogues and buildings in Jewish cities, and in the second part photographs of Jewish figures - rebbes, rabbis, Jewish children and teenagers on the street of the town, and in various educational institutions. Among other things, there are photographs of the Rebbe of Spinka, Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinski, Rabbi Elhanan Wasserman, Rabbi Aharon Kotler, photographs from important funerals, yeshivas, Jewish workers at work, and more. Each photograph is described in Yiddish and English. Two maps of the Jewish cities in Eastern Europe were featured at the outset of the book.
