The main article reads: "Today, ה' אייר התש"ח The establishment of the Hebrew state will be announced and the independent Hebrew government will be established. One thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight years after the destruction of the the Temple, Israel's independence will be re-established in the Land of Israel. After 27 years of occupation, the British mandate and with it foreign rule over the Land of Israel ended. The last practical symbol of foreign rule, the naval blockade on aliyah, will be lifted tonight at midnight". and details about the expected ceremony of the declaration of independence which will be held in a "modest and short" manner, and will include opening remarks, the reading of the declaration and a proclamation for the enactment of laws and the signature of all the members of the People's Council.
