Issue of the Sunday Graphic newspaper - London, dated November 25, 1945 - headline: "Nuremberg Rally 1945" - and "The top Nazis meet again in the dock" - special issue marking the opening of the Nuremberg trials. First photographs from the courtroom hall where the main Nazi war criminals were tried, conducted before an international military tribunal represented by the four powers: United States, Britain, France and Soviet Union prosecuting 22 figures from the Nazi regime - the greatest war criminals in history.
First photograph from the courtroom at the opening of the hearings is described on the title page: "An exclusive picture received last night from Nuremberg turns the spotlight on seven of the "twenty broken" Nazis in the dock. In this unusual close-up photo the camera captures individual reactions. In the front row Göring pretends to be bored, Hess adopts a detached indifference, Ribbentrop and Keitel are listening intently to the prosecution. In the back row Dönitz has his eyes shut, Raeder bows his head looking worried, while von Schirach shows no emotion".
In the middle pages of the newspaper is a large and impressive photograph of Judge Robert Jackson the United States Chief Prosecutor in the Nuremberg Trial - photographed by Karsh of Ottawa. Next to it are photographs of Hermann Göring and Rudolf Hess, described: "Puffy Göring and shrunken Hess slump forward on the track as the voice of justice recalls the past they prefer to forget". Another photograph showing an embarrassed Göring is described: "How can I answer that? The desperate Göring listens to the evidence of his own boasts", and a photograph next to it showing a helpless Göring is described: "He can't face the accusations, he denies the unpleasant chance justice offers".
