Johannes Cotovicus' important book, in which he describes his journey to Jerusalem and Syria (via Crete and Cyprus) which he edited in 1598. The book is accompanied by more than 50 engravings integrated in the body of the text (maps, landscapes and charts). Among them, engravings depicting Jerusalem (a view of the city, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Mount of Olives, etc.), Jaffa, Rhodes, Cyprus, and other sites.
