TWENTY-FIVE POEMS by Dylan Thomas published by J.M. Dent and Sons Ltd London 1936 - First edition, second printing - signed by the Author.

Twenty-Five Poems was one of Thomas' earliest published books of poetry, a couple years after his first collection of poetry. Originally Thomas proposed the title "Twenty-Three Poems" or "Poems in a Sequence", but finally "Twenty-Five Poems" was settled on. Soon it became one of the best-selling poetry books of the 1930s.

Dylan Marlais Thomas (1914-1953) a Welsh poet and author. Born in the city of Swansea in south Wales. In 1933 some of his poems had already been published in several journals and one of his poems was even recited in a BBC Radio competition. In 1934, at age 20, he left his family home and moved to London, where his first book of poems "18 Poems" was published. The book established him as one of the most promising young poets in English poetry. Considered one of the greatest poets of the 20th century alongside Robert Frost, William Butler Yeats and T.S. Eliot and a leading figure in Anglo-Welsh literature.
