* Embroidered cloth cover (cover for challah?) The Palestine Police - Mandate Police - "Palestinian Police Force". In the center is an embroidered emblem of the Mandate Police. Right and left leaves and flowers. Around, Wires. The Palestine Police Force was a police force that operated in Eretz Israel during the British Mandate, between 1920 and 1948, and preceded the Israel Police. It was one of a number of police and law enforcement forces during the British Mandate, some local police such as the Tel Aviv police and some gendarmes such as the Trans-Jordanian School Corps, but unlike them, the police and the monitoring forces attached to it formed the central British Mandate law enforcement organization. As such, the Mandatory Police served in important historical roles, both in suppressing riots, such as the events of 1929 or the Great Arab Revolt, and in enforcing British policy on the settlement, including fighting against the Jewish underground, in addition to ongoing policing and law enforcement. The mandate served a mixed staff, which included British, who were mostly used in command positions, Arabs and Jews. With the establishment of the State of Israel, 700 of the veteran policemen of the Mandate Police formed the base from which the Israel Police was established. Wrinkles. 35x35 cm. Wrinkles.
