Two early photograph folders from the towns of Kremnica (Slovakia) and Sarre-Union(Germany-France) including a photograph of their synagogue. Early 20th century.

Emlék Körmöczbányáról szab. kir. és főbányaváros an early folder with 11 black and white photographs (open like a chain) published by Braun Arnun - early 20th century - views from the small town of Kremnica, central Slovakia known as the "main mining town" (the town was one of the most active gold mining centers in Europe since the Middle Ages). In the folder are photographs of noticeable buildings in the town, including a photograph of the synagogue. Additional photographs: the town hall building, the central square, the lower street, the city entrance gate, and more. The town nowadays still boasts of well-preserved historical architecture, including a medieval castle, a Gothic church and a town square reflecting its prosperous past. Album: 17x10 cm. Rare. Good condition.

Sarre-Unionis a commune in the Bas-Rhin county in the Grand Est region of northeastern France (then Germany). Noticeable photographs from the town, including a photograph of the synagogue. The photographs include a panoramic photograph, the town hall, children on the street, and more. The town was established in 1794 by uniting two formerly separate cities, Bouquenom and Ville-Neuve-de-Sarrewerden. This union is reflected in its name, which combines elements of both towns. The town includes a combination of French and German architectural styles, reflecting its location on the border and the change of control between France and Germany over hundreds of years. A dedication from 1919 on the cover. Size: 15x12 cm. Rare. Good condition.
