Two booklets of programs for two sequel films of the play "The Eternal Jew", produced by Les Films de France, Denmark [1920s]. Danish.

The play deals with the sin and punishment of the Jew to wander throughout history, the Jew appears in different periods in history - as a shoemaker named Ahasuerus from Jerusalem in the first centuries CE who is destined to wander endlessly, in Warsaw in 1682 as the head of a gang of criminals, in 1882 he appears in France as a wealthy and influential man who managed to get his hands on an inheritance that is not his, and finally as his powers wane and "justice is fully served" as he returns the inheritance to its rightful owners, "and he can go out again on his endless wanderings...".

"The Eternal Jew" is a fabricated character who served antisemitic propagandists especially in the 19th and early 20th centuries. He was always portrayed as foreign in Europe, a parasite of an alleged religion, which also serves as a political tool of what was called the "Jewish race", whose ultimate goal is world domination, especially by virtue of its control over banking and commerce, while his lifestyle is bestial and repulsive. Sometimes the legend of the eternal Jew was linked to the legend of the wandering Jew. The Nazis also used this figure in an antisemitic propaganda film made in Nazi Germany in 1940, directed by Fritz Hippler and scripted by Eberhard Taubert, under the close supervision of Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels.
