At the beginning of the album are some rare early photographs of Ben Zvi and his wife Rachel Yanait and their sons Ali and Amram Ben Zvi from their first years in Eretz Israel In the 1920s and early 1930s. In one of the photos later in the album, Ben Zvi himself is seen riding a horse alongside a local Arab.
