Its headline: "Failure of the Tobruk Occupation Army! All Axis forces east of the Tobruk Gerobo line cut off" and on its back: "The Tobruk garrison breaks the siege, all Axis forces... isolated". November 23, 1941. Issue No. 14, distributed by the Allies on the North African front.
The articles declare the defeat of the German General Erwin Rommel's army and the victory of the British army: "After a seven-month siege... the German armed forces now amount to 60 tanks, surrounded by the British Eighth Army from the east... the rest were scattered or isolated in the Sidi Aziz area, where they are destroyed one by one. British forces captured Fort Capuzzo, and passed by Sollum, Halfaya and Bardia, so far, Axis air losses are 105, versus 20 British...", it also reports on the defeat of the "Ariete" armored division, on the failure of the German war plan, and on the blockage of access roads and supply lines of the German-Italian forces, and on the retreat of German forces in the first four days of the offensive. The issue was intended for Germans themselves as part of psychological warfare to break the spirit of the remaining German soldiers still in the area who thought to continue fighting.
