Secret letter from Mrs. Theres Lutz to her son Bernard Lutz who lived on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv, in which she subtly informs him of her father's passing. Official German Red Cross stationery, sent on March 24, 1942.
In her letter, Mrs. Theres confidentially discloses that her father was murdered. She writes "Lieber Bernhard! Der Name von Grossvater ist nicht Falk, sondern Falek, ich lasse hier Kaddisch sagen. Bist Du gesund?" - "Dear Bernard! Grandfather's name is not Falk but Falek, I will say Kaddish here. Are you well?". (Her words are typewritten in the second part of the letter).
Theres was murdered a few months later, her son Bernard and his wife established a family of nine in Israel.
