Alexander Ziskind ben Zvi-Hirsch Rabinowitz [AZR; 1854-1945] Writer, editor, biographer and Hebrew translator. AZR was close to the Hovevei Zion movement, and in 1897 he was elected to the first Zionist Congress. Immigrated to Eretz Israel during the Second Aliyah in 1906. Upon arriving in Eretz Israel, he became closer to a religious way of life, under the influence of Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaCohen Kook. Rabinowitz even edited together with Rabbi Kook's son, Rabbi Zvi Yehuda, a publication called "Israeli Culture", that was inspired by the spirit of Rabbi Kook, in which he also wrote articles in it. In addition, he wrote a biography about Rabbi Kook during his lifetime, entitled "Keter Torah - The Spiritual Form of Our Rabbi" in which he expressed his admiration for Rabbi Kook.
