A detailed emigration permit that was given to Rabbi Luzer Israel Eichhorn authorizing him to take his personal belongings with him when he left Germany for Palestine on behalf of the Gestapo in Magdeburg - signature and ink stamps of the Gestapo. Immigration permit from the Jewish Agency in Berlin, and another document from the Synagogue in Magdeburg. Magdeburg, November 4, 1939 (the list of belonging was prepared three months earlier on August 10, 1939)

Special permission given to Rabbi Israel Eichhorn "born December 20, 1889 in Korczyna" to take with him his personal belongings listed here - a list of hundreds of items from his private property, detailed over ten pages! and to leave Magdeburg for Palestine. The long list includes all his personal belongings with an exact number of how many items of each of them he takes with him, such as: 2 bedside lamps, 6 family photos, 5 panel curtains, 12 aprons, tableware for Passover, etc. Next to the list on each of the pages appear the Gestapo ink stamps. Also appear two other documents: a letter from the management of the synagogue in Magdeburg demanding that the immigrant tax of 3000 Reichsmarks be transferred to the management of the synagogue, signed with the ink stamp of the synagogue and the manager. Also an immigration permit from the Jewish Agency in Berlin dated November 6, 1939.

In 1933 only about 1500 Jews lived in Magdeburg. According to estimates, only between 100 and 200 Jews managed to escape from Magdeburg before the outbreak of World War II, some of whom managed to obtain immigration visas, some left with fake documents, and others pretended not to be Jews. During Kristallnacht, the Nazis completely destroyed the synagogue of Magdeburg, in 1941 the Nazis began deporting Jews from Magdeburg to concentration camps. Until 1945, all Magdeburg Jews were deported or killed, except for about 50 who survived.
