A fancy volume containing a correspondence between Mrs. James A. De Rothschild President of PICA and Mr. David Ben Gurion Israeli Prime Minister. Included photographs of Ben Gurion, Mrs. James, Isaac Ben Zvi, James A. De Rothschild, the first President of PICA, and others. Published in a fine edition of a limited number of copies on thick paper, by the Pica Society for Jewish Settlement in Israel. Copy number 393.

On July 15, 1957, Ms. James A. De Rothschild lettered to David Ben-Gurion regarding the termination of the operations of PICA, and the reasons that led her to it. Ben-Gurion replied in his letter of July 23, 1957. Ben-Gurion's letter and letter of reply appear here in Hebrew and parallel in English, alongside their pictures. It is interesting to note that in the letter of James, she is suspending PICA's termination Realization of its purpose, while Ben-Gurion replies that it was probably the summer weather that went through Eretz Israel during the days when Mrs. James Visited the country: "Allow me to offer you something that might displace you for some time out of the sorrow that surrounds you, you will come to Israel for a few weeks in the fall when the great heat that has befallen us this summer has passed. I trust that with your arrival in the country, you will have a Pleasure".
