Diego Armando Maradona - a hand-signed photograph that shows the greatest player of all time scoring in his hand during the World Cup quarter-finals match against the England team - "The hand of G-d goal". June 1986. With Certificate of Authenticity.

A rare photograph that show the the second Maradona turn the ball in the direction of the goal scored in the FA Cup quarter-final match between England and Argentina, held on June 22, 1986, at the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City - The goal was known worldwide as "The hand of G-d goal" according to the name given by Maradona.

In 1986, when the teams met in the quarterfinals, the tensions between the states were at its peak, due to the Falklands War that took place four years before. Six minutes after the start of the second half, the score was 0-0. Maradona broke from the right wing and kicked diagonally towards his teammate, Horcha Valdano, and continued to run with the intention of getting the ball back. However, Valdano's kicked went slightly behind Maradona, and the ball came to Steve Hodge, who stepped back to defend. Hodge tried to take over the ball but failed, and the ball continued toward the sixteenth, into which Maradona ran. The English goalkeeper, Peter Shilton, stepped out of the goal area to fend off the ball, but Maradona raised himself to the touchdown, reached the ball in front of him and deflected it with his left hand fist. The ball entered the gate, and to the Englishman's surprise, the referee (Tunisian Ali Ben Nasser) did not notice and confirmed the goal.

The game ended with a 2: 1 result for Argentina. At a post-match press conference, Maradona intensified the storm after claiming that the marble was "bitten by Gd's hand, and slightly by Maradona's head." Video footage and stills of the move clearly showed Maradona touching the ball in his hand (As is clearly seen in the photo before us), and the scene was screened time and time again on TV stations around the world.
In his 2002 autobiography, Maradona admitted that the ball hit by his hand: "Today I can say what I couldn't say then. At the time, I called it" G-d's hand ".... It was Diego's hand! It felt like picking up the England." In 2005, Maradona in his "Night of Number 10" program justified the goal in response to the British victory in the Falklands War: "Whoever steals from a thief gets a 100-year pardon."
