Matzah Cover - Monsohn print, Jerusalem. Early 20th century. rare.
Matzah cover with rich print in detail "Eternal memento from Beit - Tavshil HaKlali and hospitality in Jerusalem" with a Torah crown in its center, under which Chazal say: "'הוי עז כנמר וכקל כנשר." with illustrations of leopard, eagle, deer and Ari. On the right and left are Rachel's Tomb and Yad Avshalom's Tomb. Below are two medallions, the Temple Mount and the Tower of David. The four corners of the cover depict the Western Wall, Hebron, Safed and Tiberias. In the center is the matza blessing and kiddush for Yom Tov in Hebrew and Yiddish, and the first sections of the Haggadah. Around it is a large hoop with signs of order and verses for Passover. On the lower left - the printer's details: 'print a.l. Monsohn Jerusalem ".
Rare artistic work. Does not appear in the catalogs that concentrate the Monsohn works 40x41 cm. wooden and glass frame for storage and display: 58x58 cm. Very fine condition.
