The hechsher given to fifty barrels shipped from Rishon Lezion Cellar and the Rabbi indicates that they are: "Kosher for Passover and have no fear of libation the wine, since the wine is regularly monitored from the beginning of the wine making until the barrel is sealed when shipped on all matters relating to the kashrut ... "
The Genius Rabbi Yosef Halevi [born in 1870] son of the well-known righteous Rabbi Naftali Hertz Halevi [1852-1902, the first Ashkenazi rabbi of Jaffa and the colonies. From the majestic figures of the Old Yishuv], was born in Bialstock. Until the age of ten he studied with various teachers under the supervision of his father, and since then continued to study alone with tremendous diligence and became famous with his immense proficiency in the Shas and Poskim. He authored several books, and was a Kashrut manager at Rishon LeZion Winery.
