A personal notebook of a survivor from the Buchenwald death camp, removed from the camp on June 24, 1944 by the FNDIRP - Fédération nationale des déportés et internés résistants et patriotes.

The Federation was founded in France in October 1945 by Marcel Paul, and Henry Manche, and set itself the goal of locating and assisting the victims of Nazism and its allies. The survivors received special tickets such as the one before us in which they were asked to fill in their personal details. It was in fact an association that arose as a reaction to the trends of government in France that did not see itself obliged to assist the camp survivors. The federation also dealt with locating Nazi criminals, and even took part in the prosecution in the Nuremberg trials. On the front of the notebook is the organization's logo.

16x12 cm. [open]. Very good condition.
