Interesting collection of 25 postcards, photographs, and real photo postcards, from the coronation of King George V of the United Kingdom. June 22, 1911.
In the collection: postcards decorated with special designs of King George and his family, real photo postcards showing the King's honor convoy on Coronation Day, a rare photograph of King George next to the throne, photographs from the coronation ceremony taken from the public gallery, and more. Some of the postcards and photographs are published by the Jewish publisher in the service of the British royal court Raphael Tuck &; Sons, by B.A. Schwerdtfeger & Co. London, and by E.T. HERON & Co. and others.
On May 6, 1910, King Edward VII died, and George was crowned in his place. The coronation of the royal couple was held at Westminster Abbey on June 22, 1911, and in honor of the occasion the London Empire Festival was celebrated.
